Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong visits and wishes Happy New Year to Honda Vietnam Company

On the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation, Spring At Ty 2025, on the morning of January 21, the Provincial Party Committee's working delegation led by Comrade Dang Xuan Phong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and wished a Happy New Year to Honda Vietnam Company. In 2024, Honda Vietnam Company has strived to overcome difficulties and impacts of the world and regional situation, achieving outstanding results in production and business activities, continuing to affirm its position as the leading motorcycle and automobile manufacturer in Vietnam. In particular, motorcycle production output increased by 21%, automobiles increased by 17%; State budget contribution increased by 14% compared to 2023. The localization rate of motorcycles reached 98%, automobiles reached 27%.

The leaders of Honda Vietnam Company thanked the enthusiastic support and companionship of the province, departments and branches to help the company stabilize and develop production and business, create jobs for local workers and proposed that the Government , relevant ministries and branches study and have preferential policies on special consumption tax for Hybrid HEV vehicles; grant business licenses to the company for battery rental and vehicle rental extension; arrange forest planting areas for the company to increase CO2 absorption, offset emissions from production.

Impressed by the outstanding results in production and business activities of Honda Vietnam Company as well as the important contributions of the company to the development of Vinh Phuc in recent times, Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong affirmed that the success of enterprises, including Honda Vietnam Company, is also the success of the province, and that only when enterprises develop can the province develop. The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that Vinh Phuc will accompany the development of enterprises; pay attention to removing difficulties for enterprises to develop production and business, increase profits, and improve the lives of workers and laborers.

Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong requested Honda Vietnam Company to continue to innovate investment strategies, apply scientific and technological advances, and digital transformation in the automobile and motorbike manufacturing industry, towards green and sustainable growth; have solutions to promote production and business growth to strive with the province to achieve the target of double-digit growth by 2025 and the following years.

For some proposals and recommendations from the company, the provincial leaders and the provincial National Assembly Delegation will reflect and recommend to the National Assembly, the Government and central ministries and branches for consideration and resolution.

Currently, the Central Government and Vinh Phuc are resolutely reorganizing the apparatus, reducing administrative procedures, creating maximum conditions for business development. Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong requested relevant departments and branches to coordinate well in resolving administrative procedures for Honda Vietnam Company in particular, businesses and people in the province in general; at the same time, requesting the company to continue to fulfill its commitments on emission reduction; researching participation in the carbon credit market to both resolve the carbon emission situation and create livelihoods for people in the province.

Provincial Party Secretary Dang Xuan Phong suggested that in the development strategy for the coming time, Honda Vietnam Company should focus on increasing the localization rate for motorbike and automobile products; pay attention to improving the lives and incomes of workers, continue to affirm the position and brand of the leading automobile and motorbike manufacturer in Vietnam and actively contribute to the development of Vinh Phuc.
