With a strong spirit from the beginning of the year, the district focused on implementing compensation and site clearance for the Phuoc Vinh Tay New Urban Area project. State budget revenue reached 42.2% of the estimate assigned by the province. Disbursement of public investment capital in 2024 reached 100% of the capital plan.

The district urged to speed up the construction progress of basic construction works: Provincial Road 826, sidewalk items , lighting system; Can Giuoc Martyrs Square; Ba Kieu - Huynh Thi Thinh Road; Provincial Road 826C Long Hau Commune (remaining section); Truong Long dike road, Can Giuoc town; leveling the ground of the Multi-purpose Gymnasium. The district also just held a ceremony to receive the new rural district standard.

At the same time, coordinate to organize the inauguration of Provincial Road 826E . Inaugurate and put into use 3 routes (cumulatively put into use 11/14 routes according to Resolution 69-NQ/HU in 2024) and prepare to inaugurate the remaining 3 routes before April 30, 2025. The district continues to renovate urban and rural areas in the direction of bright - green - clean - beautiful, civilized, modern associated with the implementation of Resolution 53-NQ/HU of the District Party Committee.

Implementing Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW of the Central Executive Committee; Project No. 25-DA/TU, dated January 17, 2025 of the Provincial Party Committee on innovation, reorganization of the provincial political system to be streamlined, effective and efficient, the district has completed, the agencies officially came into operation from March 1, 2025.

At the meeting, the district proposed that the Provincial People's Committee soon invest in the Tan Tap - Long Hau Road project (the remaining section from Ring Road 4 to Provincial Road 830, including the construction of Dong An Bridge and Tac Can Bridge) using the State budget to connect traffic from Provincial Road 830 to Long Hau Industrial Park, Hiep Phuoc - Nha Be, promoting the advantages of Long An International Port. Invest in the drainage system, sidewalks of National Highway 50 (from Cho Tram intersection to Truong Binh roundabout) and expand National Highway 50 (from Dang Huynh roundabout to the border of Ho Chi Minh City). In addition, upgrade and expand Provincial Road 826C (from the intersection with Ba Kieu Street to Provincial Road 830) and arrange new investment capital for Rach Dua Bridge on Provincial Road 826C.

Recommend the province to work with Ho Chi Minh City to speed up the investment in the approach road to the bridge and Rach Doi bridge (the approach road to the bridge on the Long An province side, the district has completed the site clearance). Recommend the Central Government to allocate funds to invest in the embankment project to prevent landslides on the Can Giuoc riverbank (the Can Giuoc town riverbank section is 620m long, the Phuoc Lai commune riverbank section is 1,150m long).

In addition, preside and work with Saigontel Long An Company Limited to transfer funds to pay people.

Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet acknowledged and highly appreciated the results achieved by the district in recent times.

He suggested that the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee, although it will end its activities at the district level in the coming time, must still do well in any task; build internal solidarity and unity and focus on personnel work. At the same time, it must focus on attracting investment and resolving difficulties and obstacles in implementing projects in the area.

At the same time, it is necessary to develop socio-economic associated with taking care of people's lives, especially households affected by land clearance. Pay attention to education and health care, ensure domestic water for people, especially in the dry season. The Provincial Party Secretary also requested the district to focus on training high-quality human resources to meet the development requirements of the digital age.

The Provincial Party Secretary emphasized that personnel work is a difficult and important task, especially in the current period when the whole country and the province are carrying out the work of arranging and organizing the apparatus according to Resolution No. 18 of the Central Party Executive Committee .
