Binh An - Phuong Nga reveal the reason for attending the Cannes Film Festival

On the 11th day of the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, Binh An - Phuong Nga was the only Vietnamese star couple to attend the premiere of the animated film La Plus Precieuse Des Marchandises (The Most Precious Of Cargoes) alongside many international artists.

Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Binh An said that he and his wife attended the Cannes Film Festival 2024 at the invitation of a famous car brand and the trip expenses were completely sponsored. Both were excited, even a little worried because this was the first time they appeared on the red carpet of one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world .

During the event on the afternoon of May 24 (local time), Binh An and Phuong Nga spent 2 hours watching the movie, then attended the car brand's celebration party at a luxury hotel. Binh An said Cannes is a beautiful, vibrant seaside city with many yachts and private helicopters.

Before that, the star couple departed on the evening of May 23 and took two consecutive flights from Hanoi to Paris, from Paris to Nice, then traveled by car to arrive in Cannes in the early afternoon.

Binh An and his wife encountered a small problem when they could not get a hotel room on time and had to wait for quite a long time. More than an hour before the red carpet, the couple finally got a room so they could get ready, do their makeup, and change clothes for the event they were looking forward to. Phuong Nga confided that she "breathed a sigh of relief" because she was finally able to appear on the red carpet at the last minute.

Runner-up Phuong Nga shared that, in preparation for her appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, since receiving the invitation in early May, she and designer Le Thanh Hoa and stylist Nguyen Duc Thanh discussed the idea of ​​the outfit. Le Thanh Hoa's design team spent more than 100 hours working to create a black and white dress specifically for her.

The gorgeous black and white dress was inspired by the "flying dragon, dancing phoenix" strokes of Vietnamese calligraphy. Each stroke of calligraphy contains the spirit, will and culture of Vietnam. And the shape of the country's mountains and rivers is also encapsulated in the "ink strokes" of the calligrapher. With this dress design, the runner-up wants to send a story about Vietnamese culture to international friends.

The ball gown is a combination of satin and high-quality tulle. The soft, curvaceous details are meticulously crafted. The highlight is the prominently shaped flower, symbolizing the convergence of aesthetic values.
