Binh Dinh exhibits archives 'Memories of youth gathering in the North'

At the Binh Dinh Provincial Conference Center (Quy Nhon City), the Provincial Historical Archives Center (under the Binh Dinh Department of Home Affairs) is displaying and introducing more than 1,500 documents, materials, and images through a system of outdoor panels. The exhibition is called "Memories of youth gathered in the North".

Activities within the framework of the 70th Anniversary of the completion of the transfer of troops to the North in Quy Nhon by cadres, soldiers, people and students of the South (May 16, 1955 - May 16, 2025).

Binh Dinh Provincial Historical Archives Center hopes that through the exhibition, it will contribute to recreating a special historical period in the resistance war against the US, when tens of thousands of Southerners left their homeland, carrying with them the aspiration to unify the country, and headed to the North to continue studying, training and contributing.

This is not only a journey of revolutionary ideals, but also a journey of youth with many ambitions, sacrifices and aspirations for peace. The exhibition contributes to honoring the resilient revolutionary spirit, absolute loyalty to the Party and the Fatherland; at the same time, arousing pride, awareness of preserving and promoting historical values,educating the tradition of patriotism for today's generation, encouraging the whole people to unite, promote internal strength, build Binh Dinh to be increasingly developed, rich, beautiful and civilized.

The exhibition consists of 3 parts. Part 1 displays and introduces documents, materials, and images on the implementation of the Geneva Agreement; documents on the Party's policies and guidelines for transferring troops to the North, assigning cadres to stay behind to participate in resistance activities in Binh Dinh; documents and materials on the trains to the North at Quy Nhon port;...

Part 2: Display and introduce documents, materials, and images about the reception and care of the Northern people for the Southern cadres; documents, materials, and images about the activities of the Southern cadres and the activities of Southern schools in the North.

Part 3: Display and introduce documents, files, and relics of some cadres who died in the North and of cadres of Binh Dinh province who participated in the B (group) campaign during the resistance war against the US.
