BTO-The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a Decision to establish a working group to direct the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in Binh Thuan province.

Accordingly, the Working Group is headed by Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Do Huu Huy and has 5 Deputy Heads including: Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Bien Tan Tai, Deputy Director of the Provincial Police Huynh Ngoc Liem, Deputy Commander of the Provincial Border Guard Command Bui Xuan Truong, Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Nguyen Van Hoa. Also participating in the Working Group are 7 members representing leaders of relevant departments and units (Department of Health; Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Department of Science and Technology; Binh Thuan Port Customs; Market Management Department; Binh Thuan Radio and Television Station).

According to the Decision of the Provincial People's Committee, the Working Group to direct the fight against, prevent and repel crimes of smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in Binh Thuan province has been established and will perform a number of related tasks and powers from June 3 to 15, 2025. Such as directing, inspecting and urging departments, branches and functional forces in the province to implement the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch (No. 65, dated May 15, 2025) on launching a peak campaign against smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods and goods infringing intellectual property rights. At the same time, direct the inspection and propose handling of organizations and individuals who lack a sense of responsibility, are negative, lax in management, assist in smuggling, trade fraud, production and trade of counterfeit goods, and infringement of intellectual property rights.

In addition, it also requires relevant departments, agencies and functional forces to provide information on the situation and results of anti-smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the area and management field as well as documents on violations when necessary.
