Ministry of Public Security receives additional tasks from 3 ministries after restructuring and streamlining

This is an internal change of the Ministry of Public Security submitted by the Ministry of Home Affairs to the Government Steering Committee on the summary of Resolution 18 in the Supplementary Report, completing the plan to arrange and streamline the Government's organizational apparatus.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs , 3 new functional groups and tasks are transferred to the Ministry of Public Security for management as proposed, including:

Functions and tasks of state management of drug addiction treatment and post-treatment management and prevention of social evils (currently managed by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs).

State management tasks on judicial records and implementation of public services to issue judicial records (currently managed by the Ministry of Justice).

Tasks of testing and granting road motor vehicle driving licenses (currently managed by the Ministry of Transport).

Regarding the remaining 4 tasks proposed by the Ministry of Public Security, including: the task of ensuring security and order in border areas and border gates; the task of state management of entry and exit; the task of ensuring information security and network security; the task of ensuring aviation security, the Ministry of Home Affairs requested the Government Steering Committee to give opinions on this content to serve as a basis for perfecting the functions and tasks of the Ministry of Public Security and related ministries and branches.

According to the report, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises will cease its operations. 18 corporations and general companies managed by the State Capital Management Committee will be transferred to the Ministry of Finance. In particular, Mobifone Telecommunications Corporation will be transferred to the Ministry of Public Security for management.
