During the 5-day training period, students studied 7 topics with key content on ethnic minority communities and ethnic relations in Vietnam; the Party's viewpoints, policies and guidelines on ethnic issues and ethnic affairs; the State's laws and policies on socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas; ethnic minority culture; the grassroots political system; national defense and security work in ethnic and mountainous areas; and some content related to the role of the Army in handling complex situations related to ethnicity and religion.

Speaking at the training course, Colonel Bui Khac Hiep, Political Commissar of the Dak Lak Provincial Border Guard Command, emphasized: Organizing ethnic knowledge training courses has practical significance, contributing to improving the practical capacity of Border Guard officers and soldiers.
This is not only a requirement of the mass mobilization task in the new situation, but also a foundation for each cadre and soldier to understand more deeply the psychology, culture, beliefs and customs of ethnic minorities, thereby knowing how to choose appropriate, close and effective approaches and propaganda.
Colonel Bui Khac Hiep also affirmed, "Each Border Guard officer and soldier is not only the guardian of the land and sky, but also the guardian of the people's hearts." Therefore, mass mobilization work must be carried out with the spirit of respect, understanding and accompanying the people; considering the trust, affection and attachment of the people to the Border Guard as an endogenous strength, a solid fortress in the cause of protecting national sovereignty and border security.
