Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has a 54-year-old Deputy Minister

According to Decision 626/QD-TTg signed by the Prime Minister on June 2, Mr. Hoang Trung, Director of the Plant Protection Department, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development , was appointed to the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Mr. Hoang Trung was born in 1969, hometown Hoang Thang, Van Yen, Yen Bai . Before being appointed Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mr. Hoang Trung was Director of the Plant Protection Department, with a doctorate degree.

From 1993-1994, he was a technical officer - Southern Plant Protection Center - Plant Protection Department, then worked as a quarantine officer - Plant Quarantine Sub-Department of Region VIII Lao Cai - Plant Protection Department, then worked as Head of Lao Cai Station Plant Quarantine Station - Plant Quarantine Sub-Department of Region VIII Lao Cai - Plant Protection Department.

From March 2006 to May 2009, he held the position of Head of Plant Quarantine Department - Plant Protection Department.

From May 2009 to April 2016, he held the position of Deputy Director of the Plant Protection Department.

From April 2016 to May 2023, he held the position of Director of the Plant Protection Department.

On June 2, 2023, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Decision No. 626/QD-TTg appointing Mr. Hoang Trung, Director of the Plant Protection Department, to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Thus, currently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has 5 Deputy Ministers including: Phung Duc Tien, Tran Thanh Nam, Nguyen Hoang Hiep, Nguyen Quoc Tri and Hoang Trung.
