Clear knowledge system
One of the points that Tay Tu A Primary School (Hanoi) always focuses on to improve the quality of education is to closely follow the students' abilities. Therefore, every year, before entering the new school year, the school organizes to collect opinions from teachers and parents about the selection of textbooks to be used in the school year. Therefore, up to now, the textbooks selected by the school have been highly effective in teaching and learning.
For the 2025-2026 school year, the school continues to choose the book series Connecting knowledge with life of the Vietnam Education Publishing House for teaching. Evaluating the book series, Ms. Bui Thi Ngoc Luong - Principal of Tay Tuu Primary School said: "The book series Connecting knowledge with life" of the Vietnam Education Publishing House has a clear knowledge system, designed according to the concentric method, chaining knowledge and gradually expanding each grade, sharp image channels, and very suitable text channels".
Ms. Luong added that the open lesson system helps teachers guide students to apply flexibly or apply appropriately in practice. The information in the textbooks is clear, the language is appropriate, and not too abstract...
Having experienced teaching at school for the past 5 years with the "Connecting knowledge with life" book series of Vietnam Education Publishing House, Ms. Pham Xuan Thu - Principal of Phuc Dong Primary School (Phuc Loi, Hanoi ) assessed: The book series has closely followed the 2018 General Education Program, ensuring the goal of developing students' qualities and abilities.
On the other hand, Ms. Thu highly appreciated the content that is close to and related to Vietnamese reality, helping students to easily understand and relate to daily life. The lesson structure follows a concentric system from grade 1 to grade 5 in the same subject.

There is a reasonable interdisciplinary integration, especially between Vietnamese, Natural - Social Sciences, Ethics, etc., contributing to the formation of comprehensive capacity for students. Documents, teacher's books, and electronic learning materials provide full support, helping teachers facilitate the teaching and learning process.
Many teachers also hope that the books of the Vietnam Education Publishing House will continue to be included in the unified book series because of their high inheritance and familiarity; especially many teachers have had experience using these books before, so it will be easy to implement and continue to promote the advantages in teaching...
Positive inheritance
From research and teaching experience, Ms. Ngoc Luong - Principal of Tay Tuu Primary School hopes that when a set of textbooks is unified nationwide, the education program at all levels will still be open so that schools, localities and students can apply it flexibly and appropriately in practice.
For a unified set of textbooks, it is necessary to have: Content and knowledge flow clearly differentiated according to each level to help students develop according to their abilities and capacities, and teachers will differentiate the subjects, suitable to the students' abilities; helping them develop to their full potential.
Some subjects have STEM education, practice, and experiments such as Natural and Social Sciences for grades 1, 2, 3 or Science , History & Geography... With specific subjects, there is additional English content (bilingual) to help basic culture teachers both study, refer to and have a basis for practice and teaching; for students with sufficient materials to implement English as a compulsory language in education.
For teachers, textbooks, reference materials and teaching equipment are fully available to provide teachers with enough reference materials and guidance for lesson design.
"These are the requirements and desires for a unified set of textbooks that the current set of textbooks the school has chosen and is teaching has met quite well," said Ms. Ngoc Luong.
Sharing the same view, Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Thu - Principal of Phuc Dong Primary School hopes: "When unifying the set of books used nationwide, it is necessary to inherit the positive aspects of the textbooks of the Vietnam Education Publishing House that the school is using to facilitate students to continue studying seamlessly. For teachers, they can research deeply and exploit the books more effectively based on the experiences gained over the years of teaching this set of books", Ms. Thu said.
Ms. Vuong Xuan Thuan - Director of the Center for Continuing Education - Vocational Training, Information Technology (Lang Son) expressed: I hope that after unifying a set of textbooks nationwide, we will take advantage of the good and positive points of the lessons from the textbooks currently being taught (especially including 2 textbooks of the Education Publishing House, "Connecting knowledge with life" and "Creative horizons"). On the other hand, this unified set of books needs to promote existing strengths so that learners can develop their abilities, qualities and have early career education for students.
