Additional 31.5 billion VND for 5 projects to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 in Ninh Giang

An Cu To culvert in Nghia An commune (Ninh Giang) has seriously degraded.

Ninh Giang District People's Council has just passed a resolution to adjust and add 31.5 billion VND to the 5-year public investment capital plan for 5 projects, all located on the banks of Cuu An canal.

This capital from the provincial budget is allocated to support localities to carry out projects to overcome the consequences of storm No. 3.

These are the construction projects: Bui Hoa pumping station culvert in Tan Quang commune with 5.5 billion VND; An Cu To culvert in Nghia An commune with 8.5 billion VND; Dong Tan culvert in Tan Huong commune with 8.5 billion VND; Ha culvert in An Duc commune with 6 billion VND; Ong Nga Ngai culvert in Binh Xuyen commune with 3 billion VND.

According to the Ninh Giang District People's Committee, the above culverts were built in the 1960s and 1970s and are not qualified to serve production with the new irrigation and drainage coefficient. After storm No. 3, when the water level outside the river was high with great pressure, the culverts were seriously degraded and leaked.
