Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited and presented gifts to pediatric patients at K Hospital

NDO - On the morning of May 28, on the occasion of International Children's Day June 1, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited, presented gifts and encouraged children being treated at the Department of Pediatrics, K Hospital, Tan Trieu facility.

Also attending were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Xuyen, President of the Vietnam Medical Association, representatives of the Bright Tomorrow Fund and hospital leaders.

Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited the children's health, talked with their families and listened to the stories of the families who have been closely associated with the hospital during their treatment.

The representative of the Ministry of Health sent wishes for the children to recover soon, return to school and play at their age, and hoped that parents whose children are being treated: "Please rest assured and trust the team of dedicated doctors and medical staff of the Department of Pediatrics, K Hospital, who are working hard every day for the health and smiles of the children."

The Department of Pediatrics is currently treating 70 patients, including 50 pediatric patients, most of whom are treated in batches.

According to specialist doctor II Do Cam Thanh, Head of the Department, in addition to care and treatment, the medical staff here also always try to create conditions to support the spirit of the patients and their families.

Minister Dao Hong Lan acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility and dedication of doctors and nurses in treating children, a special group of patients in need of comprehensive care.

She emphasized that children are green shoots that need to be loved and protected.

On this occasion, Minister Dao Hong Lan praised the contributions and support of the Bright Tomorrow Fund in supporting cancer patients.

On this occasion, Minister Dao Hong Lan and the Bright Tomorrow Fund presented 60 gifts and cash worth 1 million VND each to child patients and praised the Fund's persistent contributions in supporting cancer patients.

The Minister affirmed that the Fund has become a reliable support and a great source of encouragement, helping many cancer patients, especially children, have more hope, faith and determination to overcome the disease to continue living a healthy life.

According to the hospital representative, the K Hospital's accommodation area, which provides free treatment for poor patients from distant provinces, has a scale of 190 beds and is fully equipped with essential amenities, helping patients and their relatives feel secure in receiving treatment in safe conditions.
