The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is urgently preparing for the Exhibition of Economic and Social Achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2nd with the theme of 80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness.

In particular, the work of allocating space and building a budget estimate for the exhibition has been basically completed; the design plan for the exhibition space and the implementation of propaganda content are being promoted.

According to information from the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, the exhibition of economic and social achievements to celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2nd has the theme "80 years of the journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness", the exhibition space uses the entire indoor and outdoor area of the National Exhibition Center (formerly Dong Anh, Hanoi) with three sub-areas.

The general exhibition area (Kim Quy Exhibition Hall) is designed as a round, dome-shaped exhibition hall. The Organizing Committee has arranged the exhibition space in a centripetal direction. Accordingly, the center of the Exhibition Hall is arranged as a space to recreate major events, historical milestones, and achievements of the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam through the periods with the theme "95 years of the Party flag lighting the way". Towards the center, 95 years of the Party flag lighting the way, the surrounding space is divided into 9 large halls, of which the main hall is undertaken by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL), displaying the theme "Vietnam - Country - People".

Halls 1 and 8 with the theme "Building for Development" are the exhibition spaces of 25 units including the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the National Assembly Office, the Party Central Committee Office; ministries, departments, branches, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government.

Halls 5, 6, 7 are exhibition spaces of 34 provinces and centrally-run cities with the theme "Rich Province, Strong Country". Hall 2 with the theme "Economic Locomotive", displays the development achievements of state-owned enterprises which are the economic locomotives of Vietnam. Halls 3, 4 with the theme "Start-up and Nation Building", display the achievements of typical private enterprises, national brand enterprises, expressing the aspiration to build a prosperous and strong country.

The second largest area is the outdoor exhibition area (including the East, West, South, North yards...). The South yard has an area of 45,000 m2, and is organized by the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security with the theme "Sword and Shield".

The East Courtyard (area of 41,000 m2) includes activities of introduction, exhibition, fair, cuisine, entertainment area and experience activities registered by agencies, units and localities to participate with the theme "National Festival". The North Courtyard (area of 46,000 m2) is the space for performing art programs.

The West Court (area of 23,000 m2) has the theme of Sky Aspiration; displaying aerospace products, flight maps, aircraft models, satellites... demonstrating the vision and contributions of the aerospace industry with the theme "Sky Aspiration"

In addition, part of the West yard is the space for state-owned and private enterprises operating in production and business in the fields of energy industry, environmental technology, high-speed train replacement equipment manufacturing industry, North-South high-speed railway design and construction, investment enterprises, equipment suppliers with the theme "For a green future".

The third area is the Block A Exhibition Hall, next to the Kim Quy Exhibition Hall, which is arranged with 2 floors for display. Each floor is about 13,000 m2, which is an exhibition space for Vietnamese cultural industries, a meeting area, art exchange and some experiential activities.

Complete many important items

Ms. Nguyen Hang Nga, Deputy Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, said that up to now, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has basically completed the design and allocation of exhibition space for participating units; compiled the budget estimates of participating units, sent them to the Ministry of Finance for appraisal, and reported to the Prime Minister; and built the budget estimates for organizing exhibitions in categories under the Ministry's responsibility for categories serving propaganda and promotion work.

Along with that, a plan was developed to decorate the exterior space, the dome of Kim Quy House, House A, and the outdoor area; a meeting was held to deploy the work to the subcommittees and the Standing Department of the Exhibition Organizing Committee. On May 15, the Content Subcommittee held its first meeting to review and give opinions on the design plans for the exhibition space of 19/25 ministries and branches. Immediately after the meeting, a document was issued notifying the opinions of the Content Subcommittee and the consulting unit on the design plans of the units; it is expected that on July 21, the Content Subcommittee will hold its second meeting to review and give opinions on the design plans for the exhibition space of the localities.

“Currently, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is developing a plan to organize the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the exhibition; organizing the design of the common space, the common identity; the entrance gate and the signs, panels, and LED screens outdoors and indoors within the exhibition area. At the same time, it is developing the exhibition content and designing the space with the theme "Vietnam - Country - People" at the general exhibition area and the space at the Exhibition Hall Block A managed by the Ministry,” Ms. Nguyen Hang Nga shared.

Along with that, develop a propaganda plan, coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize information and propaganda activities about the exhibition; develop a plan to arrange and design the Press Center, assign tasks to press and media agencies to actively report news, promote and propagate the exhibition.
