Training in practical skills of Bai Choi art in Que Son

(QNO) - On the morning of June 3, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam coordinated with the People's Committee of Que Son district to open a training course on teaching and fostering practical skills in the art of Bai Choi in 2025.

The training course took place over 8 days with the participation of 80 students who were vocal teachers, members of the Bài Chòi club and primary and secondary school students of Que Son district.

Students are taught about the origin of the art form of Bài Chòi; methods of organizing and maintaining activities of folk Bài Chòi clubs and groups; instructions on singing and performing folk Bài Chòi tunes of Zone 5 and some new Bài Chòi singing calls; skills in using guitars, erhus, drums, etc.

Through training to preserve and promote traditional cultural forms, folk arts, and Bai Choi art; to arouse and develop the Bai Choi art heritage to a wider public.
