The tournament brings together many world-class stars

Unlike the women's tournament, the men's tournament promises to have very high professional quality when gathering many strong clubs from leading Asian countries such as: Japan, China, Iran, Australia. In addition, representatives from Thailand, Bahrain or Qatar also have certain investments.

When talking about the professional quality of the AVC Champions League 2025, it is impossible not to mention the world-class stars participating in this tournament. The most recent is the contract of Wilfredo Leon (Poland) announced by Shanghai Club (China) 2 days ago. The holder of countless personal records in world volleyball aims to help the Chinese club win the championship after 26 years of waiting.

In addition to "lion" Wilfredo Leon, Shanghai Club affirmed its aspirations with two other names: Earvin N'Gapeth (France) - the best athlete of the 2024 Olympic MVP, helping France win the championship of 2 consecutive Olympics in 2021 and 2024. Along with that is Michal Kubiak (Poland), who has just competed in Vietnam, played 6 matches for the Ho Chi Minh City Police Club in the first round of the 2025 national championship, helping his team win all.

AVC Champions League 2025 also witnessed other outstanding names such as Ran Takahashi (Japan), playing for Suntory Sunbirds Osaka. The main striker born in 2001 is considered a phenomenon of Asian men's volleyball in recent years.

In addition, the Japanese team Suntory Sunbirds Osaka also owns another star, Dmitriy Muserskiy (Russia). He is the top athlete that Russian volleyball has ever produced, with a height of up to 2.18m.

The names mentioned above show that the 2025 Asian Men's Club Championship has very high professional quality. Not to mention that Iran's representative Foolad Srijan owns many members of the national team. Iran is also the country that dominates this tournament when in 24 seasons, their clubs won the championship 17 times.

Practice and prepare for SEA Games 33

For Vietnam, after 6 years we have returned to the Asian Men's Club Championship. The last time was in 2019, Ho Chi Minh City Club as the reigning national champion participated in the tournament in Taiwan and ranked 7th out of 14 participating teams.

In previous appearances, Vietnamese representatives often could not go far because their opponents always had strong investments. In this return, Vietnam sent a national team to participate, but under the name Sport Center 3. The team's goal is to compete in preparation for tournaments in 2025, most importantly the 33rd SEA Games.

Sport Center 3 is in Group D with Al Rayyan (Qatar) and Al Muhharraq (Bahrain), difficulties await coach Tran Dinh Tien right from the group stage when the opponent has abundant finances and promises to add quality foreign players. Currently, the players of the Vietnamese team are actively training in Hanoi to prepare for the AVC Champions League 2025.
