In their first appearance at the Women's Volleyball World Championship, the Vietnamese team ended their journey with a defeat to Kenya, but the result only reflects a small part of the picture.

What remains more deeply is the fighting spirit, perseverance and valuable lessons that the golden girls brought to Vietnamese volleyball.

Placed in the same group with opponents with tradition and superior physique, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet 's students did not show any fear.

In each match, from Poland, Germany to Kenya, the Vietnamese women's team played with all their confidence, continuously chasing the score and at times forcing their opponents to strain to defend.

That shows the great courage of a new team stepping onto the biggest stage on the planet for the first time, especially the spirit.

The most outstanding is still the leader Tran Thi Thanh Thuy. In each match, she not only scores many important points but also inspires her teammates with her fierce fighting attitude and never-ending smile.

Besides Thuy, young faces like Bich Thuy, Kieu Trinh or Nhu Quynh have left their mark with strong attacks, solid blocks and stubborn defense.

The matches in Thailand are a positive sign that Vietnam has a potential next generation.

The journey at this world championship also brought a lot of valuable experience. The team was exposed to modern playing styles, tested their physical strength and patience in the harshest environment.

If physique, speed or muscle strength are still a gap, then the competitive spirit, desire and coordination ability of Vietnam have proven to be no less competitive. That opens up the belief that, with more systematic investment in the future, the team can approach the high level.

Vietnam left the tournament without a win, but with a different mindset: more confident, more united and more experienced. From now on, continental matches will no longer overwhelm the girls, because they have faced the world's top teams.

The short but emotional journey to the 2025 World Cup will therefore become a memorable milestone.

What has just happened confirms that Vietnamese women's volleyball is on the right track, and that with faith, perseverance and the spirit of never giving up, one day in the not too distant future, we will witness more historic victories on the big stage.
