(CPV) - This afternoon (September 30), the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had their first match at the 19th ASIAD against Nepal and won convincingly with a score of 3-0; thereby gaining more motivation to compete for the top spot in Group C tomorrow morning (October 1) with the Korean women's volleyball team.
Nepal is not a highly rated team in Group C, so the Vietnamese team almost did not encounter any difficulties in the opening match at ASIAD 19. However, given the importance of the tournament, coach Nguyen Tuan Kiet still put the main team on the field in the first minutes.
Immediately, the girls in yellow shirts created an overwhelming game with consecutive points coming from Kieu Trinh and Nguyen Thi Trinh. The superiority of the Vietnamese women's team's attack made the Nepalese girls somewhat overwhelmed, so they only scored 4 points in the first half.
In the second and third rounds, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team had all their key players down, but still won easily with scores of 25/16 and 25/13.
With a big 3-0 win on the opening day, the Vietnamese women's volleyball team will face the Korean women's team in the match for the top spot in Group C tomorrow morning (October 1). This match is very important for both teams at the 19th ASIAD.
The goal of the Vietnamese women's volleyball team at the 19th ASIAD is to make an effort to enter the medal group, but in reality this is not easy. The Korean women's volleyball team is determined to avenge the loss to the Vietnamese women's team in the recent Asian Women's Volleyball Championship in Thailand./.
