Ms. Ly Thi My Le, Vice Principal of Hung Vuong High School, Ho Chi Minh City, said that this year's Hung Vuong High School student sports tournament had the participation of many students from all classes with 8 competitions: Chinese chess, chess, shuttlecock kicking, handball, basketball, men's soccer, women's soccer, and tug of war.

A total of more than 1,600 students registered to participate in the events of the festival. They will promote the spirit of solidarity, improve their health and compete in sportsmanship to achieve the best results.

"The sports movement among students has always been one of the important tasks in comprehensive education. The sports festival is not only a healthy playground for students to exchange and learn, but also an opportunity to discover and nurture the school's sports talents," said Ms. My Le.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Hung Vuong High School student sports tournament on the morning of September 21, Mr. Le Hoang Son Chau, physical education specialist, Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, said that this is a truly meaningful event, not only for the schools but also for the school sports movement of Ho Chi Minh City.

"Hung Vuong High School and Ly Phong Middle School are the first two schools in Region 1, Ho Chi Minh City, after the merger of three regions, to pioneer in organizing the Student Sports Tournament. This is a clear demonstration of the spirit of innovation, creativity and determination of the school's board of directors, as well as the enthusiasm and dynamism of the physical education department," said Mr. Le Hoang Son Chau.

Mr. Chau affirmed: "Student sports competitions not only contribute to improving health and physical strength, but also foster the spirit of solidarity, honesty, and nobility - values ​​that are essential for students to develop comprehensively in terms of morality, intelligence, physical fitness, and aesthetics.
