Breakthrough in digital transformation strategy of education

In the context that the Party and State are resolutely implementing breakthrough resolutions on digital transformation and education development, implementing the ICDL Digital Student international IT program in high schools in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and many other provinces is a suitable direction.

These are also key areas to improve digital capacity for students according to Circular 02 of the Ministry of Education and Training on the Digital Capacity Framework for Vietnamese learners, equipping them with the necessary skills in the comprehensive digital transformation revolution.

The program not only closely follows the Ministry of Education and Training's General Education Curriculum for Information Technology, but also fully meets the competency domains of the European Digital Competency Framework (DigComp) - one of the most prestigious and widely applied reference frameworks in the world.

The implementation of the ICDL Digital Student International Informatics program is in line with the major policies of the Party and the State. These are Decision No. 749/2020/QD-TTg on the National Digital Transformation Program, aiming to bring Vietnam into the group of 50 leading countries in the world in e-government, Decision No. 146/QD-TTg on universalizing digital skills for all people. And most recently, Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW affirms that digital transformation is the "top important breakthrough" of the country.

In particular, in addition to recognizing the ICDL certificate as meeting the basic IT skills standards in Vietnam, the Ministry of Education and Training also highly appreciated the ICDL program and stated that "The ICDL program will contribute to equipping digital skills and developing IT capacity for students, creating opportunities for them to study and pass exams to achieve certificates according to international IT standards".

COMPREHENSIVE EDUCATION ECOSYSTEM

The special feature of the ICDL Digital Student International Information Technology program lies in the construction of a complete and synchronous educational ecosystem.
