
On November 15, Foreign Trade University organized a program to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the University's founding with the theme "65 years - Aspiration of Foreign Trade" (1960-2025). This is an opportunity for generations of teachers and students of the school to reunite, review the glorious tradition, and at the same time add motivation for a new stage of development full of faith and aspiration.
Speaking at the program, Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Thu Huong, Party Secretary, Principal of Foreign Trade University emphasized: After 65 years of construction and development, Foreign Trade University is proud to be the leading prestigious university in Vietnam in terms of quality of admission; of the open, dynamic and creative international educational ecosystem; of the unique style of modern and colorful Foreign Trade; of the training quality recognized and highly appreciated by society; of the programs serving the community in a practical and positive way; of connecting resources for the journey of educational development and human development; of being the destination of all domestic and international friends.
This is the place to discover and develop learners' talents; a place to train courage and nurture compassion, a place to accompany learners on their journey to conquer their dreams and aspirations.

Affirming that the Foreign Trade brand is recognized by society as it is today, the school is always deeply aware that it is the result of persistent efforts through many generations of teachers and students, who have overcome many difficulties and challenges to train the mettle, spirit and "quality" of Foreign Trade. The theme "Foreign Trade Aspiration" with the desire to understand, be encouraged, and spread the aspirations of each member, of the community, businesses and of the school itself on the journey of development, building position, bringing positive impacts, contributing significantly to the journey of the country's rise.
Over 65 years of construction and development, effective cooperative relationships in training, scientific research, lecturer-student exchange, international program development and business connection have contributed to spreading the image of Foreign Trade University far and wide, becoming a bridge of knowledge, innovation and creativity between Vietnam and the world.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the school was honored to receive Certificates of Merit and Letters of Recognition from 15 embassies, 3 international organizations and many international higher education institutions for its contributions in educational cooperation, academic exchange and global human resource development.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Vietnam, Mr. Ito Naoki presented a Certificate of Merit in recognition of the contributions of the Foreign Trade University in promoting educational cooperation between Vietnam and Japan. As one of the first universities to train Japanese in Vietnam, the school has built and maintained a deep cooperative relationship with nearly 100 universities and nearly 50 Japanese organizations and enterprises in training, research and academic exchange, contributing to strengthening the Vietnam-Japan friendship.

Ms. Carmen Cano De Lasala, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Vietnam, presented a Letter of Recognition and appreciation for the school's efforts in developing Spanish language teaching, promoting cultural exchange and expanding higher education.
The school also expressed its deep gratitude to generations of leaders, staff, lecturers and students who laid the foundation and built the lasting values of Foreign Trade. These contributions are the driving force for today's generation to continue the educational mission, meeting the expectations of previous generations.
The 65th anniversary celebration program took place in a bustling atmosphere with many special activities such as the space for documentary photos and typical scientific publications in the lobby of building A; the space for memories of old Foreign Trade classes (and oral exam), ...; the experience of Foreign Trade cuisine past and present; the Alumni Garden area for connecting businessmen, enterprises, and alumni; an impromptu art performance stage; the online running and walking competition "FTU Homecoming Race 2025"; an attractive art gala with the theme "Five continents converging - Lighting up the aspirations of Foreign Trade" ...
With the spirit of determination, flexibility, and creativity in leadership, along with the solidarity and efforts of the staff, employees, and students, Foreign Trade University has successfully completed the key goals and tasks in 10 years of autonomy (2015-2025) and achieved many outstanding achievements recognized by competent agencies and organizations.

The school has been awarded many emulation titles and certificates of merit: Emulation Flag of the Government for excellently completing its tasks in the 2020-2021 school year; Certificate of Merit of the Prime Minister for outstanding achievements in supporting students to start businesses, contributing to promoting the national creative startup ecosystem in the period 2017-2025; Certificate of Merit of the Minister of Education and Training for outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for innovation in management, teaching and learning in the 2021-2022 school year; Certificate of Merit of the Minister of Education and Training for having the highest percentage of students participating in the contest "Youth studying and following the ideology, morality and style of Ho Chi Minh"...
Along with that, the Party Committee, Trade Union, Youth Union and collectives and individuals of the school have received many titles and certificates of merit from the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Hanoi Party Committee, the Vietnam Education Trade Union, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union,... and many certificates of merit in other activities.
