The new collection called "Weaving Dreams" by designer Pham Tran Thu Hang brought wooden fish, bird cages, palm leaf fans, conical hats... to the fashion catwalk.
The second night of Vietnam International Fashion Week 2024 took place on the evening of November 14. In this program, the latest fashion collections of famous designers such as Cao Minh Tien, ChuLa, Ivan Tran, Pham Tran Thu Hang (The Mad Lab) were introduced.
Designer Pham Tran Thu Hang's new collection, titled "Weaving Dreams", is inspired by Vietnamese folklore in the film "Cam" by director Tran Huu Tan and producer Hoang Quan.

The collection includes 28 designs using the main materials of silk, brocade, gauze and leather. In part, designer Pham Tran Thu Hang exploits the styles and motifs of the Nguyen Dynasty costumes such as the five-panel shirt with short sleeves, Nhat Binh, Ao Tac, Doi Kham... In part, the collection also has trendy costumes, which the designer cleverly incorporates into a series of ancient motifs and details. The collection is not only a fusion between the past and present, between the present and the past, but also a touch point between beauty and tragedy, the graceful and the magical.

Talking about the collaboration with the film crew of "Cam", Pham Tran Thu Hang said that she and the young creative team of The Mad Lab both have a "crazy" quality in their design personality. The film crew of "Cam" has released "Tet o lang dia hell", "Ke anh hon"... which are also very bold and different. That is the touch point that made her very excited when creating the collection.

She realized that the costumes for the movie "Cam" had a huge investment and inspired her to develop and have her own creations for "Dét mơ". For example, details such as goby fish, lotus flowers, custard apples, ancient wells... were given a mystical quality on sophisticated designs, a fusion between the fairy tale version and the unique, mystical design style.
Director of the film Cam Tran Huu Tan also said: "The collection "Weaving Dreams" really conveyed the messages that the film "Cam" aimed for. In addition to bringing costumes that are very suitable for the characters in the film, designer Pham Tran Thu Hang also has her own sublimation and creativity that I believe will be the most unique collection of this Fashion Week".

Participating in the performance of designer Pham Tran Thu Hang's collection was The Face Champion - Huynh Tu Anh in the role of vedette with impressive costumes and the image of the character Cam with multiple personalities in an elaborate mask. In addition, famous rapper Rhyder and producer Dung DX also brought to The Mad Lab's stage a special song called "He xinh xinh" - also a brand new song that has not been released yet by the rapper.
