On the way from Ho Chi Minh City to his hometown Nghe An to take his last breath, LVH’s family decided to donate his tissues and organs. Doctors urgently performed a tissue and organ transplant at Hue Central Hospital to save the lives of many others.
Doctors proceed to take the donor's organs.
Mr. LVH (born in 1982), from Tan Ky, Nghe An, went to work in Binh Phuoc . On July 29, on his way home from work, he unfortunately had a traffic accident. Despite the hospital's medical team's active treatment, the patient's prognosis was getting worse and worse, gradually falling into a deep coma. The family asked to take the patient home.
According to Ms. LTN (the patient's younger sister), Mr. H. is the eldest brother in the family. Mr. H.'s father is a 1/4 disabled veteran who lost 91% of his health, his right leg was amputated due to a fierce battle with the American imperialists. His mother has no salary and is old, so every month, Mr. H. sends money back to help his parents.
Faced with that incident, Ms. N's family was too shocked, no one was sober enough to think of anything else. Late at night on July 29, Mr. H's family asked the hospital to let him go home so that all relatives in the family could have a chance to see him one last time.
"On the way back, in a flash I realized that his whole life he lived was dedicated to giving good things to everyone. He himself confided that after he died, they would cremate him. His family could not accept the fact that he was no longer here, and always found some reason to comfort themselves that he was still alive.
Therefore, I encouraged my family, relatives, especially my parents, to donate his organs and tissues to save the lives of many others. As if there was an invisible thread connecting us, everyone in the family supported this humanitarian act," Ms. N. confided.
Immediately, Ms. N. contacted the National Organ Transplant Coordination Center to express her wish to donate her brother's organs and tissues. After contacting the Center, the "repatriation" became more difficult, because of the fear that the organs were not guaranteed, the family had to go to Quy Nhon Hospital to get more supportive medicine.
The family intended to take him to Nghe An Provincial Hospital to donate, so that relatives and friends could see him one last time, but his health gradually weakened. To ensure the source of donated organs, the family took him to Hue Central Hospital to complete the required procedures before donating.

His organs included: kidneys, lungs, corneas transplanted at Hue Central Hospital, liver transplanted at Viet Duc Friendship Hospital. His family's humanity and kindness helped other patients, bringing light and prolonging the lives of transplant patients.
Mr. H. passed away, leaving behind the grief of those who stayed behind, leaving behind a promise to his family that he would "bring his bride home" at the end of the year, and owing his parents a grandchild who babbled "grandpa" and "grandma"...
Mr. H.'s sister confided that now her family only hopes that those who receive Mr. H.'s organs will always be healthy. "If they are healthy, my family's work will be meaningful and Mr. H.'s soul will be somewhat comforted," Ms. N. shared.
