Ca Mau: Support people to build new and repair houses damaged by tornadoes

Households affected by tornadoes in Ninh Thanh Loi commune (Ca Mau province) were supported with 60 million VND/house for newly built houses and 30 million VND/house for repaired houses.

On August 8, the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee of Ca Mau province announced that it had decided to support funding for house construction and repair for households damaged by tornadoes in Ninh Thanh Loi commune.

Accordingly, 810 million VND will be distributed to support the construction and repair of 22 houses. Of which, 5 newly built houses will receive 60 million VND/house; 17 repaired houses will receive 30 million VND/house. The funding source is from the "For the Poor" Fund Mobilization Committee of Ca Mau province.

Previously, at around 5:00 a.m. on July 28, a tornado occurred in Xeo Dung hamlet and Nha Lau 2 (Ninh Thanh Loi commune), causing 2 minor injuries, 5 houses collapsed completely, 17 houses had their roofs blown off, and many properties of the people were damaged.

Immediately after the tornado occurred, the People's Committee of Ninh Thanh Loi commune mobilized local forces to quickly arrive at the scene to help people overcome the consequences.
