• Ca Mau enhances investment and trade promotion with Singapore

At the working session with Sembcorp Group (investor and developer of VSIP industrial parks in Vietnam), representatives of Ca Mau province's leaders introduced an overview of the province's potential and strengths and investment calling projects, including industrial park infrastructure projects: Hoa Trung, Tac Thu, Tan Thuan, Song Doc, especially the Nam Can Economic Zone infrastructure project.

Representative of Sembcorp Group, Mr. Lawrence Chan, VSIP Project Director, highly appreciated the potential of Ca Mau province in industrial development, especially sustainable green industrial development.

Mr. Lawrence Chan said that Sembcorp Group will continue to research and exchange detailed information on investment projects that Ca Mau province is calling for. At the same time, it will seriously research and propose new projects that are suitable for the Group's investment fields and ensure effective and sustainable exploitation of Ca Mau's potential and advantages.

At the meeting and information exchange with the Singapore Energy Authority (EMA), the delegation introduced the potential, strengths, and renewable energy development planning of Ca Mau province; discussed towards proposing a project to export electricity from Ca Mau - Vietnam to Singapore with the participation of Vietnamese, Singaporean, Malaysian enterprises and other international investors.

Mr. Chua Shun Loong, EMA Representative, shared that Singapore is particularly interested in importing electricity from countries in the region, including Vietnam. In addition, he also provided some information on Singapore's current and future energy import needs./.
