Launching the book "Aspiration for Peace" about heroic Binh Duong commune

The book “Aspiration for Peace ” is nearly 500 pages thick, gathering nearly 40 authors who are famous writers, poets, and literary theorists in the literary life, such as Nguyen Quang Thieu, Tran Dang Khoa, Khuong Huu Dung, Nguyen Viet Chien, Phan Chi Thanh, Ho Thanh Hai... Among them are writers who fought and sacrificed right on Binh Duong land such as Chu Cam Phong, Duong Thi Xuan Quy and many other writers who participated in the war to liberate their homeland and country.

In particular, the memoirs Near and Far and Typical Battles record vivid events and at the same time send a great message to those living in peace and freedom today.

The work “Aspiration for Peace” does not stop at just recording and creating literature. The book is a timeless message: Peace is a great aspiration, but it is not free, but is exchanged for blood, tears and courage of many generations.

These are valuable documents, of great value to educate and spread the good values ​​and patriotic traditions of previous generations to the younger generation.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Nam Nguyen Thanh Hong shared: The land and people of Binh Duong are like a precious museum not only of Quang Nam. The book helps today's generation feel that the past still seems to be there, with all the sad, beautiful and proud memories of the people of the sandy region.

Mr. Hong also shared that Quang Nam province is currently implementing a project to develop a reading culture, associated with the preservation and restoration of historical and cultural relics in the area, contributing to enriching spiritual life and educating the younger generation about history.

Also at the ceremony, philanthropists donated more than 370 million VND to restore historical relics in Binh Duong commune. Along with that, gifts were given to students with excellent academic achievements in the past school year, and gifts were given to representatives of families with revolutionary contributions in Binh Duong commune.
