According to the forecast of Lao Cai Province Hydrometeorological Station, tonight and tomorrow, the weather in localities in the province will be cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, and heavy rain in some places.

Tonight and tomorrow, due to the influence of the southern edge of the low pressure trough with axis 24 - 27 degrees North latitude combined with the high-altitude wind convergence zone, the weather in localities in the province will be: cloudy, with rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms, some places with moderate rain, heavy rain, Southeast wind level 2, cool at night and morning, cold in highlands and high mountains.

Specific weather forecast for localities in the province is as follows:

Low mountainous areas (including districts: Bao Yen, Bao Thang, Van Ban and some lowland communes of Bat Xat and Muong Khuong districts): cloudy, with scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain, Southeast wind level 2, temperature from 26 to 32 ^degrees Celsius, average humidity above 85%.

High mountainous areas ( including districts: Bat Xat, Muong Khuong, Si Ma Cai): cloudy, with rain, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally moderate rain, heavy rain, Southeast wind, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 19 to 27 ^degrees Celsius, average humidity above 85%.

Lao Cai City: cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms, Southeast wind level 2, temperature from 26 to 32 ^o C, average humidity above 85%.

Sa Pa tourist area : cloudy, sometimes rainy, moderate rain and thunderstorms, Southeast wind level 2, cold weather, temperature from 17 to 24 ^o C, average humidity above 95%.

Bac Ha tourist area: cloudy, sometimes rainy, showers and thunderstorms, Southeast wind level 2, cold at night and early morning, temperature from 19 to 27 ^o C, average humidity above 85%.

Widespread thunderstorms are likely to be accompanied by extreme phenomena such as hail, tornadoes, strong winds and lightning. Therefore, local people, especially in mountainous areas, need to be on guard against the occurrence of such natural disasters causing damage; be alert to localized heavy rains due to terrain conditions that can cause sudden flash floods in small streams and landslides in steep terrain.
