Central localities simultaneously started and inaugurated many key projects.

(Chinhphu.vn) - To celebrate the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, provinces and cities in the Central region simultaneously held groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies for a series of key projects and works, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere and arousing the strong development aspirations of the localities.

Specifically, from August 19 to September 2, Da Nang City organized the groundbreaking ceremony for 6 major projects in the area, including: Chu Lai - Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park expansion; resettlement area serving the North - South high-speed railway project in Dien Ban Bac ward; Da Nang Downtown high-end cultural, entertainment, commercial and service park; Ba Na - Suoi Mo ecological and urban tourism complex; apartments in land lots C1, C2 in Phu My An urban area; social housing in land lots B4-1, B4-2 in Hoa Hiep 4 resettlement area.

In addition, the City will also launch an inter-level boarding school for ethnic minorities in Tay Giang commune, creating learning conditions for children of ethnic minorities in mountainous areas.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the projects has important political, economic and social significance, demonstrating the spirit of innovation and affirming the determination of Da Nang City in maintaining economic growth at a "double digit" level.

To celebrate National Day September 2, Hue City launched 7 projects inaugurated and 3 projects started, spanning the fields of transportation, education, industry and tourism.

The 7 inaugurated projects include: FPT Hue Education Complex with a scale of 8.68 hectares, serving 20,000 students; Phu Bai Brewery expansion; HPS high-quality sand and quartz powder processing factory; high-end service area on the banks of the Huong River at 5 Le Loi; EON Industry Vietnam helmet factory; Phong Dien - Dien Loc rescue road project; Hue City Culture and Sports Square infrastructure.

The three projects that have started construction include: Scavi Tu Ha Factory; Trade and service project at 42 Phan Chu Trinh; Trade and service project at No. 2 Ha Noi. In addition, Hue City plans to start construction on the hotel project in Thuy Van Complex - Phase 2 and inaugurate the wastewater treatment plant at Gilimex Industrial Park at the end of September 2025, on the occasion of the 17th Hue City Party Congress.

In Quang Tri , on August 19, the Quang Trach 1 thermal power plant project will conduct a trial run of oil-fired power. The project is invested by EVN, with a capacity of 1,403 MW, providing about 8.5 billion kWh per year; it is currently under urgent construction to put into operation and generate commercial electricity in May 2026. In addition, the inauguration ceremony of the Hai Anh wind power plant (40 MW) will take place in this locality.

Khanh Hoa province will start construction of key projects: Nha Trang City mixed-use urban area; Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics training and research facility in Nha Trang; social housing in Thanh Hai resettlement area; Doc Da Trang industrial park infrastructure project

Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has directed relevant departments and branches to quickly complete investment, land and construction procedures to ensure projects can start on schedule and in accordance with legal regulations.

On this occasion, Binh Dinh province started the project to build runway No. 2 and synchronous works at Phu Cat Airport - one of the key projects to upgrade the aviation infrastructure capacity in the South Central region. At the same time, two major traffic routes were inaugurated: the Southern bypass of Phu Phong town; the connecting route from the Western road (DT.638) to the coastal road (DT.639) in Phu My district.

These projects not only contribute to completing the traffic infrastructure, serving travel and preventing natural disasters, but also bring a new look to rural areas of Binh Dinh.
