As Christmas approaches, famous churches in Hanoi have completed their decorations and are busy setting up stages to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ on the morning of December 25.

According to Dan Viet reporters, the area around Hanoi's Great Church was packed with people taking photos and checking in.

Like every year, the Hanoi Cathedral area is decorated with a nativity scene, next to a pine tree and angels.

Workers are busy constructing the stage, sound system, and speakers for the Christmas celebration taking place on the night of December 24 and early morning of December 25.

Ham Long Church located on Ham Long Street, Hoan Kiem District has also completed its decoration. The iron doors have many layers of light and are the focal point inside the church.

Ham Long Church was built by Father Despaulis Joseph when he started working as a parish priest in 1936, and was inaugurated on May 7, 1939. This is also one of the famous churches in Hanoi, always the center of attention at Christmas every year.

On the afternoon of December 23, workers were also busy setting up the stage to prepare for Christmas.

Fire police and electricity force of Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi inspected fire preparation and prevention work at Ham Long church.

Standing out on Phan Dinh Phung Street, Cua Bac Church stands tall and majestic as a unique architectural symbol, adding to the beauty of Hanoi and is an attractive destination for domestic and foreign tourists, especially at Christmas.

Cua Bac Church began construction in 1925 under the care of priest Joseph-Antoine Dépaulis (Father Huong), and was basically completed in 1930 (some documents say the church was built in 1927).

Christmas 2024, besides familiar decorations such as nativity scene, giant pine tree, glowing star..., Cua Bac church also attracts parishioners with cartoon-style decorations.

Cua Bac Church has also completed setting up the stage, ready to hold the Christmas mass.
