Na Chi actively prepares for merger

BHG - According to Resolution No. 46-NQ/TU, dated April 23, 2025, the 32nd Conference of the Provincial Party Committee, term XVII, on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Na Chi commune will merge with Khuon Lung commune, forming a new commune called Khuon Lung, the administrative center is located in Na Chi commune today. As soon as the resolution was passed, the commune has stepped up propaganda and dissemination of the Party and State's policies and guidelines to all cadres, party members and people so that everyone clearly understands the goals and significance of the merger, thereby creating high consensus in the whole society.

Implementing the streamlining of the apparatus, forming a 2-level administrative unit, according to regulations, part-time cadres will retire; commune leaders met and discussed to help them understand their responsibilities in streamlining the apparatus and received high consensus and unity.

In addition to doing a good job of propaganda, the review of budget sources, rearrangement of records, documents... are also urgently carried out by specialized departments, ensuring timely handover according to the instructions of all levels. Mr. Hoang Van Thiem, a civil servant of the Office of the People's Committee of Na Chi Commune, shared: As soon as there was a document on arranging records to prepare for handover to proceed with the merger of communes, my colleagues and I in the office, in addition to completing the assigned tasks, also took advantage of working extra hours in the late afternoon and on weekends to summarize documents, arrange books according to instructions. Up to now, basically everything has been completed and can be handed over immediately upon request.

In addition, the commune also conducted a review and inspection of the facilities, offices and accommodation for commune officials and civil servants after the merger. Through the review of the office building, the electrical system, roof, toilet, concrete yard, IT infrastructure and domestic water of the commune, all of which basically meet the requirements when the commune first comes into operation. In addition, the commune currently has a number of projects such as schools in villages near the commune center, and old kindergartens that can be used as accommodation for officials when renovated.

Up to now, the commune's preparation work has been on schedule, ready for the merger according to the roadmap and has not affected the psychology and life of the people as well as the operation of the grassroots government apparatus.
