Ha Giang Electricity Company actively responds to Workers' Month

BHG - In response to Workers' Month and the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene, Ha Giang Power Company (PC Ha Giang) has organized many practical activities, demonstrating deep concern for the lives, jobs and safety of workers. This is an opportunity to demonstrate the role and responsibility of the Trade Union in accompanying workers.

Recently, the Company's Trade Union Executive Committee visited and encouraged affiliated units in the province. At the destinations, representatives of the Company's leadership and the Trade Union kindly shared with union members and workers about work, life and difficulties in the special production conditions of mountainous areas.

Ha Giang Electricity Union visited and gave gifts to union members and workers of Quan Ba Electricity.

Comrade Nguyen Huu Dien, Chairman of the Trade Union of Ha Giang Electricity Company said: "We always identify that taking good care of workers is the foundation for the Company's sustainable development. Workers' Month is an opportunity for the Trade Union to listen, share and show gratitude for the silent contributions of workers in the Electricity industry, especially in remote areas of the province."

During this working trip, the Company's Trade Union provided a total of 152 million VND from the trade union fund to employees at the units. At the same time, the entire visitation fund of the Corporation and the Northern Power Corporation Trade Union was transferred to employees in difficult circumstances, who had occupational accidents leading to a health decline of 31% or more. The gifts and visits are not only material support but also have great spiritual value, helping employees to be more attached and feel secure in working in the electricity industry, which is full of risks and challenges.

Along with the visiting activities, the PC Ha Giang Trade Union also participated in the first round of trade union training organized by the Northern Power Corporation Trade Union. The conference was connected online to level III and IV units, creating conditions for a large number of trade union officials and occupational safety and health workers to participate. Here, delegates were updated on new points of the Trade Union Law No. 50/2024/QH15, the Social Insurance Law No. 41/2024/QH15 and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union, term XIII. At the same time, in-depth contents on occupational safety and health were also conveyed, contributing to improving the qualifications and skills of grassroots trade union officials and occupational safety and health workers.

Comrade Nguyen Huu Dien added: “Improving the capacity of trade union officials and the occupational safety and health network is a key task to ensure safety for workers and protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members in the new period.”

Workers' Month 2025 has spread the spirit of sharing, caring and accompanying the workers of PC Ha Giang. This is not only the responsibility of the Trade Union organization, but also a strong commitment between the enterprise and the workforce - those who are contributing to keeping the electricity on the land at the extreme end of the Fatherland.
