Although the 2024-2025 school year has been concluded, the learning atmosphere of grade 9 students at Mau Long Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities is still very exciting. Comrade Vi Van Luyen, Principal of the school, said: The school has 116 grade 9 students, of which 46 students registered for admission to grade 10, the remaining students registered for vocational training. This year's exam is organized according to the 2018 General Education Program, so the school's review work was adjusted early and implemented in accordance with the new points. In order to ensure the regulations on extra teaching according to Circular No. 29, with the characteristics of students in remote areas who do not have the conditions to study extra outside of school, many teachers have volunteered to support and tutor weak students. At the same time, the Board of Directors directed the subject groups to classify students, develop test-taking skills training questions, and organize mock exams to assess their abilities to improve the quality of test scores and increase the passing rate for grade 10. The school also increased coordination with the authorities and the Commune Police to manage students during their boarding period, preventing neglect of studies and accidents before the exam.
For Yen Minh Town Secondary School, in the "sprint" review period, the school focuses on consolidating students' knowledge in the subjects of Math, Literature, History - Geography. The school has 138/143 students registered for the 10th grade entrance exam at high schools in the province. To prepare for the important exam, over the past months, students have been familiarized with the types of questions, practiced test-taking skills and consolidated related knowledge in the main curriculum. This year, 100% of the subjects are in essay format, so professional groups and teachers organize skill training, let students get acquainted with the scoring criteria to know how to allocate time, control the length and quality of the work.

As a subject with many innovations according to the 2018 General Education Program, Literature is guided by teachers of Yen Minh Town Secondary School to review with diverse and rich content. Teacher Hoang Thi Huong, Literature teacher, shared: The structure of this year's exam is different from previous years, the language materials are outside the program, so teachers have to spend a lot of time preparing the content of the lesson. During review sessions, I spend time correcting sample essays, analyzing common errors and giving suggestions for students to have specific improvement methods. In addition, I prepare questions, send them to class groups for students to review at home, practice analyzing questions, determining requirements, layout and practicing outlining skills.
Registering to take the entrance exam for grade 10 in the 2025-2026 school year, Yen Minh district has 893/1,900 students, accounting for 47.0%, 9.61% higher than the previous school year. Acting Head of the District Education and Training Department Tong Thi Ngan said: The sector has strengthened the direction of 18 junior high schools in the area to actively prepare for the entrance exam for grade 10, promoting review work to ensure quality and efficiency. At the same time, directing the assignment of appropriate final-level teaching, prioritizing teachers with a lot of experience in reviewing and reviewing for students. 100% of schools organize mock exams to assess student quality before May 20 and continue to maintain training and review activities for students. In the coming time, the Department will continue to assign schools to coordinate with families to grasp the situation of students, manage boarding schools as well as pay attention to psychological factors, create a positive learning environment, and help students have a solid mindset to enter the exam.
The 10th grade entrance exam will take place from June 5 to 6. With the close direction and implementation of the Yen Minh District Department of Education and Training, schools will contribute to the success of the exam.
