On February 2, Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Quang Nam province Tran Thi Kim Hoa said that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had just signed 4 decisions to dismiss 1 director and 3 deputy directors of the department for violations in the work of preventing and fighting the Covid-19 epidemic and receiving citizens returning home to prevent and fight the epidemic; managing and using land for a number of investment projects and implementing projects/bid packages carried out by the International Progress Joint Stock Company (AIC).

Specifically, Mr. Than Duc Suu was removed from the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Finance; Mr. Nguyen Van Tho was removed from the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Van Van was removed from the position of Deputy Director of the Department of Health and retired early; and Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong was removed from the position of Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs and immediately fired.

As reported, Chairman of Quang Nam Provincial People's Committee Le Tri Thanh signed a decision approving the addition and adjustment of the list of staff reduction in the first phase of 2024. This list includes Mr. Nguyen Van Van and Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong.

Previously, the Central Inspection Committee decided to expel Le Ngoc Tuong and Nguyen Van Van from the Party.
