According to PhoneArena , the issue is believed to stem from iOS 17 and is linked to Apple's Attention Aware feature. This feature uses the TrueDepth camera to determine if the user is paying attention to their iPhone and takes corresponding actions. For example, if it detects the user is looking at the phone, it will reduce the alert volume, assuming the user is still looking at the screen.
There are several ways to fix the problem of an iPhone alarm not ringing that users can try.

It appears that iPhones running iOS 17 don't sound the alarm when the Attention Aware feature thinks the user is awake. As a result, if you're experiencing this issue with your iPhone alarm not ringing, the community suggests turning off Attention Aware by going to Settings > Accessibility > Face ID & Attention, and then disabling it.
If this doesn't work, users can try turning off Standby Mode to space out the alarms and keep the default alarm sound. One Reddit user noted that if a user has too many alarms turned off, they might overlap with alarms that the user has already snoozed, potentially causing minor issues.
If none of those solutions work and the alarm on the iPhone continues to go silent, users will have to wait for Apple to release a fix.
