According to the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, because it is the locality with the largest number of candidates in the country, the volume of exams that need to be graded is large. With more than 2,000 teachers mobilized to grade the exams, Hanoi is trying to complete the grading and announcement on time.
Previously, the entrance exam for grade 10 of public high schools for the 2025-2026 school year in the city took place on June 7 and 8, with nearly 103,000 candidates taking the exam.
Candidates for non-specialized groups will take three subjects: literature, math, and foreign language; candidates for specialized groups will take additional specialized subjects on June 9.
According to Hanoi's 10th grade admission plan, candidates have 3 wishes to enter high school, in which wishes 1 and 2 are in the admission area the candidate has registered, wish 3 is in any admission area.
The enrollment target for public high schools in Hanoi for the 2025-2026 school year accounts for about 64% of the number of applicants, about 2% higher than last year.

Students submit applications for review from July 4 to 10
According to the schedule of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training, schools will receive exam result reports to issue to students by July 8 at the latest. Students who wish to have their exam results reviewed must submit their applications between July 4 and July 10.
From July 10 to July 12, admitted students must confirm their enrollment (online or in person). On July 17, schools that do not have enough students will enroll additional students, and from July 19 to July 22, admitted students will confirm their enrollment.
On July 28, candidates will receive the results of the exam review, and from July 28 to July 30, schools will continue to process student records after the review, and successful candidates (after the review) will confirm their enrollment.
