The Vietnam Maritime Administration is responsible for directing port authorities to guide ships to safe anchorage areas, proactively develop prevention plans, and ensure the safety of vehicles and people. Waterway management units must promptly withdraw buoys and flood warning signs and redeploy them immediately after the flood recedes, according to local warnings.
The Department of Construction of Son La, Lao Cai , Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa and Nghe An provinces need to coordinate with local authorities to proactively inspect and review areas at risk of landslides and subsidence along traffic routes; pay special attention to key national highways; be ready to arrange vehicles and human resources to support people to move safely through deep flooded areas, quickly repair cut-off roads, ensure smooth traffic, minimize the risk of accidents and damage caused by natural disasters.
