Cam Giang planted 60,000 trees

A large number of officials from Cam Giang district, Tan Truong commune, and local people participated in the 2024 spring tree planting campaign.

The district is focusing on disseminating information and encouraging people to continue improving their neglected gardens and diversifying their crop structure to enhance economic efficiency. Localities are utilizing all available space along roads, public areas, historical and cultural relics, and mounds in the fields... to plant timber trees, shade trees, flowers, ornamental plants, and fruit trees.

Specifically, Tan Truong commune aims to plant 5,000 trees this year, continuing to be the locality with the most trees planted in the district. The commune maintains and improves flower-lined roads in Mai Trung, Tan Ky, and Trang Ky villages; and completes the planting of trees in village parks in Quy Duong village…

The tree-planting ceremony actively contributes to educating teenagers and children about the tradition of spring tree planting and environmental protection.

In 2023, Cam Giang district planted 61,000 trees, including 31,000 fruit trees and 30,000 timber trees. The district converted 23 hectares of low-yield rice paddy land to specialized cultivation of high-economic-value fruit trees, flowers, and ornamental plants, concentrated in the communes of Cam Van, Cam Vu, Dinh Son, and Cao An.
