Ngoc Khanh Lake walking street (Ba Dinh district, Hanoi) is gradually being completed to be put into operation on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital. This area has a series of details about "Giang Vo Truong" that make people excited.

Ba Dinh District (Hanoi) is completing the project of upgrading technical infrastructure and urban beautification to implement the project of organizing a business and service area - walking street in the area of ​​Ngoc Khanh Lake and surrounding areas on Pham Huy Thong Street. Previously, the People's Committee of Ba Dinh District (Hanoi) issued Decision No. 1173/QD-UBND approving the project of upgrading technical infrastructure and urban beautification in the above area.

This is a project to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024), and will be completed and put into operation before October 10, 2024. The renovation of technical infrastructure in the Ngoc Khanh Lake area aims to ensure urban aesthetics, create more streets with services for people to have fun and entertain, and at the same time create conditions for business and service development.

The project includes items such as paving natural stone sidewalks and roads; installing urban equipment such as seats, trash cans, public toilets; installing lighting... Planting additional trees, arranging natural stone flower pots, building outdoor plastic or natural stone seats, adding green strips, and decorative architectural objects are also carried out. According to Dan Viet reporters, the railing surrounding the lake has been built, the sidewalk along the lake shore is paved with natural stone, creating convenience for recreational, entertainment, sports activities as well as business services in the coming time.

Notably, with the desire to preserve the historical value of the old land, the renovation and improvement of infrastructure and urban architecture in the Ngoc Khanh Lake area and surrounding areas has been paid attention by Ba Dinh district to details reminiscent of Giang Vo Truong. This is an important location in ancient Thang Long, an area for practicing martial arts, teaching military tactics, and high-level military exercises of feudal dynasties.

The details on the lighting, guide posts, and railing posts are all designed to resemble images of soldiers practicing martial arts with weapons such as swords, crossbows, spears, etc.

Dai Viet Su Ky Toan Thu also recorded events in 1010, when the Ly Dynasty established Giang Vo Palace; in 1070, Xa Dinh was established. In August 1253, King Tran Thai Tong established Giang Vo School as a place for generals to study. From the beginning of the Le Dynasty, the area west of Thang Long (including the areas of Giang Vo, Kim Ma, and Ngoc Khanh today) became a major center for military training, examination, and demonstration.

In the photo are illustrative statues neatly placed in flower pots along the sidewalk. Mr. Le Quang Hung (60 years old, Ba Dinh resident) said: "I hope this is an opportunity for descendants to review historical traditions, remember, be grateful and cherish a past time of the nation".

Detailed images reminiscent of the Martial Arts Hall are printed along the railing.

According to Dan Viet, at the end of September, the renovation and upgrading process of Ngoc Khanh Lake is in the final stages with many infrastructure items and the surrounding environment gradually improving.

However, in this area, there are still street vendors, shops, and coffee shops encroaching on sidewalks and roadsides.

Garbage is also strewn along the sidewalks and on the road for a long time, affecting traffic and the daily activities of local people.
