Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Can Tho City Pham Van Hieu and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Tan Hien visited and presented Tet gifts to officers and soldiers preparing for the fireworks display.

To prepare for this special event, in recent days, the Can Tho City Military Command has deployed the installation of a high-altitude fireworks display on a 2,000-ton, 60m-long barge.

The barge will be located at the Can Tho River junction, about 300m from Hoa Su Restaurant (in Cai Khe ward, Ninh Kieu district) - the main shooting point of the high-altitude fireworks display.

This is the third year Can Tho has carried out fireworks displays on barges.

Thousands of fireworks have been set up and are ready to be launched to celebrate the New Year 2025.

The work at the fireworks site was done meticulously.

Fireworks at high altitudes over the river are both safe and allow people to easily enjoy the performance.

In addition to the high-altitude fireworks display, Can Tho City will also organize low-altitude fireworks displays at three locations: Phan Van Tri Park (Phong Dien District), Thoi Lai District Square (Thoi Lai District) and Vinh Thanh District People's Committee Square.
