Israeli soldiers operate in the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights near the border with Syria on December 28.
"Our air defenses confronted the attackers' (Israeli) missiles and shot down some of them, causing only material damage," a Syrian military source said. The source did not identify the locations attacked, according to Reuters.
Meanwhile, a Syrian military intelligence source and a regional security official told Reuters that the new attack was believed to have targeted a Syrian army air defense base and a radar station in the Tel al-Sahn area of Sweida province, located in southwestern Syria.
There is currently no information about the Israeli military's response to the above accusation.
