BHG - In 2024, Quan Ba welcomed nearly 509,000 visitors, but only over 55,000 stayed overnight, accounting for 10.8% of the total number of visitors. This shows that the district's tourism products are still not attractive enough to attract visitors. How to make Quan Ba an attractive tourist destination and retain visitors is a "problem" that needs to be addressed by all levels, sectors and localities.
Quan Ba has many advantages to attract tourists when it is located on the main axis of National Highway 4C, with many areas, resorts, exploration, and branded experiences such as: Heaven's Gate, Twin Mountains, Lung Khuy Cave; Lung Tam and Can Ty linen weaving villages; Cao Ma Po peach garden, Nam Dam cherry garden; Thach Son Than scenic spot; lonely Nghien tree... In particular, in the district, there is H'Mong Village Resort, Dong Ha commune, considered as "Symphony of art on the plateau", or "Where the path to highland culture begins". This place has a space that harmoniously combines natural materials with the unique characteristics of the Stone Plateau; The works are built on the cultural foundation of the Mong people such as the bungalows shaped like a drumstick, the rows of houses with walls handcrafted with natural soil, using yin-yang tile roofs made from terracotta, the garden area is arranged with Ha Giang green stones, combined with trees and grass, bringing a living space close to the environment, in harmony with nature. The resort meets the highest standards of tourism services and is honored by the Vietnam Tourism Association as a tourist accommodation facility with the "Excellent level of "VITA Green" tourist accommodation label".

Nam Dam Village Community Cultural Tourism Village, Quan Ba Commune is also an attractive accommodation for tourists. This is the home of the Dao ethnic community with most of the unique traditional cultural features still intact. Families here have renovated and upgraded their houses with traditional architecture to serve tourists as homestays. This is the only Community Cultural Tourism Village in the province to date that has received the ASEAN tourism award twice (2017 and 2023).
From the above highlights, along with Ha Giang's tourism brands such as: "Asia's Leading Emerging Tourist Destination" in 2023 and "Asia's Leading Regional Cultural Destination", Quan Ba welcomes an increasing number of tourists visiting the area. In 2024, the total number of tourists to the district will reach nearly 509,000, with over 55,000 staying guests.
Currently, Quan Ba has 1 resort, 2 hotels, 20 motels and inns, 50 homestays with about 550 rooms, serving over 1,400 guests/day; a system of 50 food service establishments, 15 tourism product businesses ensuring the needs of tourists. However, the total number of guests staying in the district in 2024 only accounts for about 10.8% of the total number of visitors passing through the area; the average is only nearly 140 people/day, reaching 10% of the district's service capacity. Total revenue from tourism is estimated at over 75 billion VND. These are very low numbers compared to Dong Van, Meo Vac, Yen Minh districts and are proof that Quan Ba is only a transit point, a stopover, not an attractive destination on the route to explore Dong Van Stone Plateau for tourists.

Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Quan Ba district, Le Minh Lap, shared: In recent years, the district has been very active in proposing solutions and focusing on exploiting the potential and advantages of developing community tourism, associated with preserving traditional cultures of ethnic groups; developing local tourism products in a friendly and safe direction; attracting investment in tourism services, creating jobs and income for local people; maintaining and increasingly improving the quality of services at accommodation establishments, tourist attractions, and services for tourists... However, in reality, up to now, the tourism potential of the district has not been effectively exploited and some potentials are still untapped.
In fact, Quan Ba still has a lot of room to become an attractive tourist destination, attracting visitors to explore and experience because in the district there is a system of caves that were created hundreds of millions of years ago, beautiful as paintings that have not been put into exploitation such as: Kho My Cave, Qua Na Cave (Tung Vai Commune); Thuong Son Cave (Tam Son Town); Lung Muoi Cave (Quyet Tien Commune). Or the Heaven's Gate area is not being exploited to its potential. Ba Tien Mountain with its mysterious legends and many rare species of animals and plants can become an interesting tourist destination. The historical relic of the Citadel Wall and Can Ty Citadel Gate can become a stopover to explore on the Can Ty - Yen Minh route. Along with many pristine villages, unique traditional crafts of ethnic minorities in the district have not been promoted or introduced to tourists, and have not been invested in to become products and tourist destinations. In addition, Quan Ba is currently building model residential areas in villages and hamlets - one of the highlights with a very unique approach of each locality that can be developed into attractions for visitors and accommodation...
Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Quan Ba, Le Minh Lap, is concerned: With the condition of a poor district, limited investment resources, to fully exploit the tourism potential of the district, it needs the attention and support of the province and the help of departments, branches, investment of enterprises and internal strength of the people to be able to create attractive tourism products for tourists.
