Recently, Vietcombank has received many reports of scammers sending fake SMS messages, informing that accumulated reward points are about to expire or are enough to redeem gifts (for example, iPhone 15...). These messages instruct customers to access unusual links (for example, https://j8sk.vip/doidiemVCB; https://j8sk.vip/doidiemvietcombank or https://j8sk.vip... to redeem gifts or receive refunds.

If customers click on the link, they will be redirected to a fake Vietcombank website and asked to enter security information such as card number and OTP code. The scammer will then steal this information to spend, link cards, or steal money in the card.

To ensure the rights and security of customers' accounts, Vietcombank recommends that customers: Absolutely do not provide confidential information (card information, OTP code) to anyone. Vietcombank does not require customers to provide service security information in any form.
In addition, customers should absolutely not access strange links sent via email, text messages or social networks. Vietcombank does not send emails or text messages containing links to customers.
Vietcombank also reminds customers to carefully read the OTP code notification message to detect any unusual signs. The OTP code notification always contains information about the purpose of the card transaction and the name of the unit that initiated the card transaction.
In case customers accidentally enter card information into a fake website, they need to urgently lock the card by contacting hotline 1900545413 or accessing the VCB Digibank application, and reporting to the police.
According to Vietcombank, customers can only contact and receive information through Vietcombank's official channels. All promotional programs, points accumulation or gift exchange are only announced on the official website and VCB Digibank application.

The end of the year is the time when people often make many transactions, so bad guys will increase different sophisticated fraud scenarios to take advantage of lack of vigilance and loopholes to defraud and illegally appropriate property. Therefore, people need to pay close attention and raise their vigilance to the maximum to avoid fraud traps.
