Warning to urgently stop using 2 health protection products suspected to be counterfeit - Lang Son Newspaper and Radio and Television Station

- The People's Committee of Lang Son city has just issued an urgent notice, advising local people to absolutely not use two health protection food products that are suspected of being counterfeit.

These two products include An Ngon Baby Shark and Medi Kid Calcium K2, manufactured by Herbitech Technology Company Limited ( Hanoi ).

Baby Shark Delicious Food products are suspected by authorities to be counterfeit.

This warning was issued after the Department of Health received a dispatch from the police agency regarding the investigation of health protection food products suspected of being of unknown origin and showing signs of counterfeiting. Currently, the authorities are investigating and clarifying the case.

Lang Son City People's Committee requested relevant levels and sectors in the area to increase propaganda, advise people not to buy and use and request businesses in the area not to trade the above two products until there is an official conclusion from the competent authority. People's Committees of wards and communes increased coordination with functional agencies to inspect health protection food products.

Lang Son City People's Committee is continuing to update information about the incident and recommends that people be vigilant and protect their own health and that of their families.

The timely warning about two health protection products suspected of being counterfeit aims to promptly provide information, helping people to raise their vigilance, avoid buying and using products that pose a risk of harming their health.

On April 25, the Office of the Ministry of Public Security's Investigation Police Agency said it was investigating a large-scale health food production ring that used fake test results to bring products to market. In particular, the subjects in this ring targeted nutritional supplements for children, including infants.

The ringleader is Pham Vu Khiem, Director of Herbitech Technology Company Limited. During the investigation, the authorities determined that two health food products identified as counterfeit were produced by Herbitech Technology Company Limited in Block 8, Phu Lo Commune, Soc Son District, Hanoi, namely BABY SHARK and Medi Kid Calcium K2.

The police agency determined that the above Company had processed and produced more than 200 products worth hundreds of billions of VND but lacked quality control. Although the products were advertised as imported from France, Germany, and the US, the actual price and quality were not as announced.
