Police intervene to handle the situation after a car was spotted flashing its headlights and driving against traffic on a highway access road.

A car was driving against the flow of traffic on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, repeatedly flashing its lights to request passage, forcing many other vehicles to swerve to avoid collisions. Traffic police are investigating and will take action.

On March 9th, a video circulated on social media showing a car with a Binh Thuan province license plate driving against the flow of traffic on the Phan Thiet - Dau Giay expressway, in the Song Nhan commune, Cam My district, Dong Nai province.

Footage from a dashcam shows that at approximately 9:54 AM on March 8th, this vehicle was traveling against the flow of traffic near the exit of the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway (heading towards Thong Nhat district, Dong Nai province ), posing a danger to vehicles traveling in the correct lane.

According to Nguyen Truong Nam, the person who posted the video, the car driving against the flow of traffic repeatedly flashed its lights to request passage, forcing many other vehicles to swerve to avoid collisions. "This behavior not only disregards the driver's own life but also threatens the traffic safety of others," the driver shared.

Upon receiving information about the incident, traffic police officers from Highway Patrol Team No. 6 (Team 6, Traffic Police Department) launched an investigation, extracting camera footage to verify and handle the case according to the law.

A representative from Team 6 stated that the police force is currently verifying the vehicle's previous travel route. Once the investigation is complete, the unit will provide the information.
