Specifically, at around 2:00 p.m. on June 15, while performing patrol and control duties at sea, ship CSB 8021 of Squadron 32, Coast Guard Region 3 Command received a request for emergency medical assistance from Mr. Huynh Van Ba (residing in Cho Moi district, An Giang province), the ship owner.
The fishing boat reported that crew member Nguyen Ngoc Tuan (born in 1979, hometown An Hoa Hai commune, Ninh Hai district, Phu Yen province) had a work accident while operating the winch, the winch rope got caught in the armpit area causing serious injury to his right arm.
Immediately after receiving the information, CSB 8021 ship approached fishing boat TG-94988-TS and sent a medical team to the fishing boat to provide first aid to the injured crew member.
After examination, determining the wound was complicated, with a severed artery under the right armpit, the medical team stopped the bleeding, bandaged, and provided painkillers and antibiotics.

After first aid, the victim regained consciousness, the wound was stable, and the bleeding stopped. At 2:50 p.m. the same day, the medical team left the ship. Fishing boat TG-94988-TS organized to bring the crew member ashore for further treatment.
The quick, accurate and effective rescue organization of the officers and soldiers of CSB 8021 clearly demonstrated the bravery and high sense of responsibility of the officers and soldiers of the Vietnam Coast Guard in carrying out the task of protecting and helping fishermen. Thereby, continuing to affirm and spread the beautiful image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers - Coast Guard soldiers" in the new era.
