On November 12, a representative of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Department (PC07) of Ho Chi Minh City Police said that they had just assisted in bringing a woman weighing more than 100kg from the 2nd floor down to the emergency room.
Previously, at 2:12 p.m. on October 11, the unit received a report from the 114 Command Center about supporting the 115 Emergency Center of Ho Chi Minh City to transfer a victim from a high floor to the ground.
The unit quickly deployed forces and specialized vehicles to the scene, a house on Nhat Tao Street, Dien Hong Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. Here, the victim was a woman, estimated to weigh more than 100kg, had a high fever, could not move, and was lying in one place on the wooden attic on the second floor of the house.
Through observation of the scene, the wooden stairs were old and degraded, about 70cm wide and very narrow, so the 115 medical agency could not bring the victim down for fear of an accident.
Realizing that the victim was having convulsions and could not control his behavior and needed to be taken to the nearest medical facility, the unit coordinated with the 115 medical team to perform first aid, giving the victim oxygen, intravenous fluids, and encouraging the victim to stay calm.
At the same time, the rescue team quickly deployed rescue teams, safety belts to protect and bring the victim from the 2nd floor wooden attic to a safe area, hand over to the 115 medical agency, and transfer the victim to the hospital for emergency treatment.
