The suspect in this case was identified as Phan Danh Hung (born in 1986). Hung stabbed his wife Ly Thi Thuy V. (born in 1986) to death at 5:00 a.m. the same day in Xuan Dong village, Dien Xuan commune, Dien Khanh district.
Then, Hung's niece and Ms. Ho Thi Tu D. (neighbor) ran to stop him and were also stabbed to death.
Police dogs were also brought to the scene to track down the suspect.
After committing the murder, the suspect fled. The initial cause was determined to be money.
Neighbors said that since becoming a son-in-law in the locality, Hung has not had any conflicts with anyone, but this man often participates in football betting, lottery and drinking.
Suspect Phan Danh Hung, from Ninh Phung commune, Ninh Hoa town, has a tattooed, skinny body, is unapproachable, grumpy, and rude.
