Since the beginning of the year, the Quang Ngai Province Fishing Port Management Board has disseminated, organized training, and instructed ship owners and captains to deploy the use of eCDT VN software. At the same time, it has arranged forces to guide and support ship owners and captains to make electronic declarations of eCDT VN when entering and leaving ports, and to keep electronic seafood exploitation logs.
The units have inspected and monitored nearly 23,000 ships leaving the port, more than 22,000 ships arriving at 5 fishing ports and anchorage ports of the province. Fully updated data of 100% of fishing vessels and citizen identification of ship owners into the National Fisheries Database (VNFishbase) system and the fishing vessel monitoring system with the national population database VNeID.
VNFishbase is a comprehensive database for fisheries management, ensuring strictness with full information on registration, inspection of fishing vessels, seafood quotas, seafood exploitation licenses; data on fishing ports, storm shelters; data on logs, fishing reports; confirmation of exploited seafood raw materials; certification of the origin of exploited seafood. Thereby contributing to transparency, clear traceability of seafood origin, effective implementation of recommendations in combating IUU fishing, and early removal of the "yellow card" for seafood.
