Launching the model "Green House - Waste classification at source" in An Cu commune

On the morning of November 1, at Ba Xoai market, the People's Committee of An Cu commune (An Giang province) held a launching ceremony for the model "Green house - Waste classification at source", sponsored by the Mekong Nsb Project (International organization for nature conservation in Vietnam).

At the launching ceremony, An Cu Commune People's Committee handed over 6 "Green Houses" worth 36 million VND to 3 markets: Ba Xoai, Vinh Trung and Van Giao.

Instructions for waste classification at source.

The model is designed to collect recyclable waste, such as: plastic bottles, beer cans, scrap paper, nylon bags, etc. The recycled waste is properly processed, the collected part will create a fund for social security activities, support the poor, students in difficult circumstances and other community activities.

The model is part of the Project “Implementing nature-based solutions to restore wetlands and natural processes of the Mekong Delta in Tra Su Melaleuca Forest Landscape Protection Area” (Mekong NbS Project), implemented by the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province in coordination with WWF - Vietnam.
