Landslide in group 3, My Thuan hamlet, My Hoa Hung commune on the afternoon of October 31.
Specifically, at 1:30 p.m. on October 31, after receiving reports from people in Group 3, My Thuan Hamlet of a landslide, the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of My Hoa Hung Commune sent the Military Command, Commune Police, and My Thuan Hamlet Committee to the scene to rescue and evacuate the property of people directly affected by the landslide.
The survey shows that the landslide is about 150m long and about 20m deep into the bank. The landslide location is about 50m upstream from the landslide location on September 4, 2025.
The landslide area is located in the area previously warned by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of An Giang province and is located right at a curved section with currents close to the shore, fast flowing water, combined with large loads on the shore (houses, road traffic)... causing landslides and subsidence in the area.

The incident has not caused any human casualties. The landslide in the above area is about 150m long, 20m deep into the bank, completely eroding the traffic road, 12 households in My Thuan hamlet were affected, their properties and structures have been moved out of the landslide area. The estimated damage is over 1.2 billion VND.
The landslide location has directly affected traffic routes, so vehicles cannot pass through this area. Signs warning of dangerous landslide areas have been banned.
Currently, the locality continues to mobilize people around to cut down trees, clear bushes, move structures to reduce the load and pull cords to cordon off the area, install barriers, temporary signs, hang warning lights..., to ensure traffic safety, and at the same time continue to monitor to warn and mobilize people and households at risk of being affected by subsidence and landslides to move to a safe place.
Military forces and commune police helped people evacuate to safety.
According to the People's Committee of My Hoa Hung commune, the above area is at risk of further landslides inland and around the houses of households. The People's Committee of the commune coordinates with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune to continue mobilizing people in areas at risk of further landslides to evacuate to a safe place, to ensure people's lives and property.
Propose that provincial specialized agencies survey, evaluate, consider and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to support the repair of the above road section and support 12 households affected by landslides from the province's budget.
Previously, on October 29, a landslide occurred in the Dau Con market area, belonging to group 3, My Thuan hamlet and group 1, My Khanh 1 hamlet, My Hoa Hung commune. The landslide was about 120m long, 15m deep into the bank, causing a grocery store to collapse completely, 8 households with 23 people were affected, and a wooden bridge serving traffic completely collapsed. The estimated damage was over 1 billion VND.
