On this occasion, the Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang province presented more than 77 million VND to support Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Thong, from the support fund for outstanding intellectuals and dignitaries with difficulties in life according to Decision No. 3503-QD/BTCTW of the Central Party Organizing Committee.

Venerable Thich Nu Dieu Thong's real name is Pham Thi Bach Lien (born in 1931, alias Huyen Trang). She was awarded the Third Class Military Exploit Medal; First Class Resistance Medal and many other noble titles by the State. This is the real life character of nun Huyen Trang in the famous movie "Saigon Special Forces".
