QNgTV- The Prime Minister has just approved the Project "Making English the second language in schools for the period 2025-2035, with a vision to 2045", aiming to build an ecosystem using English in teaching, communication and administration, and improve learners' international integration capacity.

The project applies to all educational institutions from preschool to university, vocational and continuing education, with about 50,000 institutions, nearly 30 million learners and 1 million staff and teachers. The implementation roadmap includes three phases: 2025-2030 to build the foundation and standardize; 2030-2035 to expand and strengthen; 2035-2045 to perfect and use English regularly and naturally in schools.

Regarding human resources, the preschool sector will add 12,000 English teachers, and primary schools will have nearly 10,000 teachers when English becomes a compulsory subject from grade 1. At the same time, the education sector aims to train and develop at least 200,000 teachers to teach in English by 2035, serving curriculum innovation and improving the quality of human resources.
